    Make a Difference in Mozambique

CityShopping has teamed up with Olivia Nichols who has recently returned from Vilanculos, Mozambique (Africa) where she spent five weeks volunteering, helping the local community.

    The community needs our help.

Many of the children don't have the basics, including things like shoes and underwear, many already orphaned at a young age are forced to become street kids living from day to day to survive. HIV is very prevalent throughout the community with approximately 1 in 6 people being infected with the virus.

There are many opportunities to help, even from afar and that is what CityShopping and Olivia aim to do, and you can help to, there are a number of different ways.

1)Become a volunteer in Vilanculos, Mozambique through African Impact, click here for complete details.

More and more people are demanding more from a holiday or vacation. They no longer just want to visit a place they actually want to immerse themselves into a community and have an 'experience'. There is no better way to do this than by opting to do some volunteer work. You will have a life experience for yourself while helping others less fortunate than you. African Impact has a range of volunteering options available. There are projects throughout Africa that allow you to volunteer for as little as 2 weeks and up to a few months. Check out www.africanimpact.com for more information.
2)Get your company involved by donating something

If volunteering is perhaps not your thing, but you would still like to help? Perhaps your company would like to get involved by donating any of the below items?
